CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Winthrop women's tennis was defeated 4-2 in its consolation match with William & Mary wrapping up the ITA Kick-Off Weekend Saturday evening.
The Eagles started strong, winning the doubles point with two out of three courts, and
Alisa Soloveva delivered an upset of No. 68 Clara Tanielian on court two, but three-set victories on courts one, four and five tilted the match to the Tribe.
