GREENVILLE, N.C. - Winthrop men's tennis fell 5-2 to Navy in a dual match played at ECU Indoor Tennis Center Saturday afternoon, with four of the six singles courts being decided in three sets in the hard-fought match. 

Navy earned an early edge with the doubles point, though No. 42 Ruy Teixeira/Diego Quiroz took a victory on court one, 6-3 over Andrew Ton/Aries Wong. Teixeira would go on to earn a singles victory in the two position, 6-4, 6-4 over Wong. Tremayne Mitchell battled back on court four from a 6-1 defeat in the first set to take the second 6-2 and win the third in a 7-6 set tiebreak.
