Winthrop Baseball Travels to No. 7 North Carolina for a Weekday Game

ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop baseball team will be looking to resume its winning ways as the Eagles take on No. 7 North Carolina Tuesday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium. First pitch at 3 p.m.

The Eagles enter the game with a 4-2 record after losing the final two games against Kennesaw State this past weekend, while UNC has gotten off to a 7-0 start.    

Winthrop's last win was on Friday when sophomore Hunter Lipscomb hit this third home run of the season to give Winthrop a 4-3 win over Kennesaw State.

Junior left-hander Riley Arnone will take the mound on Tuesday and will be on a pitch count, according to head coach Tom Riginos. He has a 1-0 record this season in two relief appearances.   

The Tar Heels are coming off a sweep of Radford this past weekend. Right-hander Tyler Baum will be making his debut for the Tar Heels. UNC is led at the plate by Logan Warmoth who enters the game with a .407 batting average with 11 hits, one home run, and six RBI.
