FULL SLATE OF ACTION IN WINTHROP ATHLETICS
Winthrop athletics will have a full day of competition as the men's and women's soccer teams, volleyball and women's golf will all be in action in town. The women's golf team tees off at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday at Rock Hill Country Club in the Winthrop Intercollegiate. The women's soccer team will host Presbyterian College at 1 p.m. for "Senior Day" and the volleyball team will host High Point at 4 p.m. The men's game vs. Radford caps off the day. It will be Garnet & Gold Day so don't forget to sport your school colors.
SERIES HISTORY VERSUS RADFORD
Winthrop and Radford meet for the 37
th time as the all-time series is square at 16-16-4. The Highlanders won 2-0 in last year's meeting as the Eagles had enjoyed recent success in the series. Before the loss the Eagles were 4-0-1 against Radford in the previous five meetings. The tie did not go in the Eagles favor as they dropped a penalty shootout 4-1 as Radford advanced to the conference title game. In the last seven meetings neither team has scored more than two goals and five of the games have been decided by a goal or tied.
A GLANCE AT WINTHROP
The Eagles have dropped two straight and coming off a 1-0 loss to a hot College of Charleston team that captured its fifth win in a row. Winthrop was shutout for the second straight match, despite 16 shots in the two games.
Max Hasenstab still leads the team offensively with seven goals and two assists for 16 points to rank among the top attackers in the league.

A GLANCE AT RADFORD
The Highlanders are coming off a victory at 10
th-ranked Virginia on Tuesday, 1-0. The win was their second straight after one-goal losses at Charlotte and to High Point at home. Radford is now 3-3-2 on the road this season and has a 5-1 league win at Campbell. Kieran Roberts leads the way for the Radford offense with 15 goals while Sivert Daehlie is second with 11 goals, three assists. Roberts is first nationally in goals per game and total goals while the Radford offense is 10
th in scoring at 2.21 per game.
HASENSTAB ONE OF NATION'S TOP SCORING THREATS

Max Hasenstab has had a decorated career and enters the 2017 season among some of the NCAA Division I active scoring leaders. Hasenstab entered the season third among active players with 1.67 points per game and currently sits in 3
rd at 1.63 per game. He now trails UNLV's Danny Musovski (42) for most career goals with 41. He began the year 3rd in goals per game at .71 and currently sits 3
rd at .69 goals per game. Through 11 games played he is 32
nd nationally in goals per game and 41
st in points per game. He is a three-time All-Big South selection and the 2015 Big South Conference Tournament MVP. He has 96 career points, which ranks 2
nd among active players and is 7
th all-time in Winthrop history.
HASENSTAB TABBED BIG SOUTH ATTACKING PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR A SECOND TIME
Max Hasenstab was named the Big South Attacking Player of the Week for a second time this season (Sept. 18) after he helped the team to a 1-1 record the week before with two goals and two assists. He earned his first one of the season with his hat trick in the win over Wofford. It was his third career hat trick and the third time in his career to capture the honor.
WHAT'S AHEAD
The Eagles will host UNC Asheville on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. as the team will recognize their seniors prior to kickoff in the final home game of the year.
BIG SOUTH PRESEASON POLL
Winthrop was picked fifth in the Big South Preseason Poll as it was tied with Campbell with 45 votes. The Eagles captured their final two league games of 2016, but did not advance to the conference tournament. Winthrop and Campbell were just seven votes behind Longwood in 4
th. The Highlanders received 7-of-9 first-place votes while High Point was picked second and Liberty third.
