ITA National Ranking
ROCK HILL, SC--The Winthrop women's team has climbed into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's NCAA Div. I national rankings that were released today.

Cid Carvalho's Eagles are ranked No. 71 out of the seventy-five schools that are ranked each week. Winthrop, the preseason favorite to capture a 17th Big South Conference title this year, is the only conference school ranked. Winthrop is one of 16 mid-major schools ranked among the top 75.
Winthrop is 4-3 on the season and has won two straight, including a victory last weekend over No. 55 Georgia State. The Lady Eagles will be back in action on Thursday when they open Big South Conference action against Presbyterian College on Memorial Courts. First serve is set for 3 p.m
