ROCK HILL, SC-- The Lady Eagles keep on rolling through their hot streak as they knock off UNC Asheville 7-0 Sunday afternoon at Winthrop Memorial Tennis Courts. Winthrop has now won eight straight games and improve to 13-9 overall on the season and a perfect 7-0 in conference play.

Alice Garcia (Brasilia, Brazil) defeated Christine Boissevain and Emily McNall 8-5 in the No. 2 position. Freshman
Caitlin Cridland (Perth, Australia) and sophomore
Ekin Gunaysu (Ankara, Turkey) won 8-4 over Amryn Soldier and Gillian Lewis at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, No. 1 seed
Andressa Garcia defeated Emily McNall 6-1, 6-0.
Alice Garcia took down Ericka Rivero 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 2 position. In the No. 3 spot, Giovanna Portioli came out on top 6-1, 6-0 over Amryn Soldier.
Caitlin Cridland persevered and won against Christine Boissevain 6-2, 0-6, 1-0 (7) at No. 4 singles. At No. 5,

The Eagles will put their winning streak on the line Saturday, April 13th in Conway, South Carolina as they travel to rival Coastal Carolina. The match will begin at 10:00 am.
