BUIES CREEK, NC-- The Lady Eagles tennis team travels to Buies Creek, NC Tuesday afternoon for a 1:30 pm conference match up with Campbell University. Winthrop defeated Campbell last year in Rock Hill 7-0.
The Lady Eagles are on a four game winning streak and are soaring high in conference play on the season. The Lady Eagles are 4-0 in conference play this season and look to keep thier perfect conference record in tact Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Eagles are 9-9 on the season but are 4-6 on the road.
Campbell comes into todays match with a 7-10 record and 5-2 in conference play. Campbell is in 5th place in the conference standings and are only one win behind Liberty for 4th place. The Lady Camels are on a 3-game winning streak also and will close conference play Saturday in Clinton, SC vs Prebyterian.
Winthrop looks to maintain a top the conference standings, as Cambell is trying to push themselves into the top four schools in the conference. The match is set to begin at 1:30 at the Nisbet Tennis Center.
