ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop tennis teams close out their 2012 regular season schedules Friday afternoon as they host Presbyterian College on Senior Day at Memorial Courts.  The matches will mark the final home appearances for 
Sandra Herrera, 
Guy Kubi and 
Nadav Ruppin.
The Winthrop (11-10, 7-0 BSC) women's team enters the season finale holding the top spot in the conference standings, and will look to close out their conference record undefeated for the first time since 2009. Juniors 
Yasmine Alkema and Giovanna Portioli, along with sophomore 
Andressa Garcia hold 7-0 singles records in conference play this season, while Alkema and Garcia are 7-0 in the doubles round within the conference. Last season, the Eagles defeated Presbyterian College (9-12, 0-6 BSC) 7-0 in Clinton, SC.
The men's team enters the season's final match with a 9-13 overall mark and a 2-4 conference record as they currently sit in sixth place in the Big South Conference standings. The Eagles will look to snap a two-match losing streak, after falling to Radford on the road and Coastal Carolina last week.
Presbyterian College (11-14, 1-5 BSC) comes into the match with a four-match losing streak, losing 6-1 in its last match to UNC Asheville. The Blue Hose are led by Rafael Berghaus who has a 9-7 overall singles record at the No. 1 position.
The women's match is set to begin at 1 p.m., as the men's matchup will start at 2 p.m. and admission is free.
