Tori Iannotti have been selected as the April Comporium Student-Athletes of the Month.
Benhardt batted .403 with 13 runs and 11 RBI in 16 games in the month of April. His .403 average led the team in the month and he tied for the team-lead in runs (13) and RBI (11). On Apr. 3, Benhardt hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to help lead the Eagles to a 6-4 win over Western Carolina. He was 3-for-4 with two runs, a double and two RBI in a 13-3 win at Elon. In two games vs. Elon in the month he was 5-for-8 with three runs, two doubles and three RBI. On Apr. 25 he went 4-for-4 with a run and two RBI to help the Eagles earn a road win at Gardner-Webb, 9-7. He currently ranks 7
th in the Big South in RBI (43) and is 8
th in hits (56).
Iannotti scored 19 goals and had 24 total points in six games. On Apr. 1 the Eagles trailed 10-9 at Radford late in the third quarter. Iannotti scored three consecutive goals in the final 2:44 of the quarter to put the Eagles in the lead for good en route to a 15-10 victory. She scored four of her five goals in the game in the second half. Iannotti had three goals and two assists against Wofford and then had five goals and two assists against Furman. In the final game of the season at PC, Iannotti scored four goals. She led the team in goals (44) and points (55) for the season. She ranked 4
th in the Big South in goals per game (2.75) and points per game (3.44) and recently earned Big South All-Conference honors.
