Christina Warren (LAX) have been named the Comporium Student-Athletes of the Month for the month of March.
Hernandez started in every game he played in the third month of 2025, recording 21 hits, scoring 25 times, and tacking on 21 RBI's, five doubles, one triple, two homers and 19 walks. His biggest highlight was coming within a double of hitting for the cycle as the Eagles swept a three-game series with Wagner at home by a final score of 10-2 on Mar. 2.
Warren started in five of six games she played in the month of March, recording 19 goals, five assists, 25 points, 42 shots, three groundballs, two caused turnovers and five draw controls. She made her Eagle debut vs. FDU on Mar. 8 as Winthrop would go on to win their first game of the season, 12-9. The next week against Merrimack on the 15
th, she led the Eagles with seven goals as Winthrop rallied from a 16-9 third quarter deficit to win in overtime, 18-17. The homestanding Eagles would score eight of the next nine goals (including five straight) to tie the score at 17, with Warren scoring four of them. Two of her four goals in the fourth quarter occurred on the man-up. Warren's fourth of the frame tied it with 58 seconds left and the game would go to overtime. Warren tied for scoring the most man-up goals by an individual in a game in school history with three also tied for scoring the most free-position goals by an individual in a game in school history with four vs. Merrimack. She also scored six goals in a 14-12 loss at Old Dominion on Mar. 19 and recorded a hat trick in a loss to California on Mar. 23. For her efforts, she was named the Big South Freshman of the Week in back-to-back weeks.
