Charlotte, N.C. - The seedings and pairings for next week's Hercules Tires Big South Conference Women's Basketball Championship at Freedom Hall in Johnson City, Tenn. have been determined, the Conference office announced tonight.
 
The Eagles will be the No. 5 seed and will play No. 4 seeded Charleston Southern Buccaneers in the quarterfinals on Thursday, Mar. 6 at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN+. The two teams split their regular-season meetings this year. Charleston Southern won 78-50 on their court on Jan. 15 but Winthrop got revenge in Rock Hill on Feb. 5 by a score of 54-47, snapping a five-game skid in the series.

All nine Big South men's and women's programs will compete in the Hercules Tires Basketball Championships. Seedings will be determined based on regular-season finish in the conference standings. The Hercules Tires Basketball Championships feature 16 games of basketball action spanning five days as teams compete to capture the Big South title and automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament. 
 
The opening round of the 2025 Hercules Tires Big South Basketball Championships begin on Wednesday, Mar. 5 and the championship games will be played on Sunday, Mar. 9. For the women' bracket, click HERE.
