Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop women's soccer had five members earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors.
Monssi Avila-Gutierrez,
Reagan Goodwyn,
Cordelia McIntosh,
Mia Silber, and
Sophia Balliet all received the academic recognition. Avila-Gutierrez was also a 2024 CSC Academic All-District Selection.
Avila-Gutierrez was a 2025 All-Big South First Team selection as she led the Eagles in scoring with 10 points (5 goals), starting all 16 contests. Goodwyn also started all 16 contests as a defender. McIntosh was second on the team in scoring with two goals and three assists. Silber started 15-of-16 games played and Balliet also played in all 16 contests.
In order to qualify for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 GPA and have had to participate in 90 percent of the team's contests or started 66 percent of the games.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
