SERIES HISTORY VS. HIGH POINT
The two schools will meet for the 74-76
th time with Winthrop leading the series, 45-28 overall and 24-11 in High Point. Last season in 2023, after Winthrop won the first game in the three-game series at home by a final score of 7-6 on May 12, High Point won the next two contests by scores of 6-1 and 12-9. The Eagles and the Panthers met for the first time in a doubleheader on May 8, 1999 in High Point with each team winning a game. Winthrop won the first game 19-4 and High Point won the second game 5-2. Winthrop's win started a long string of Eagle dominance in the series from 1999-2012, as Winthrop won 31 of the first 41 meetings between the two teams, including 14 straight from 2003-07. Since 2012, the series has been largely even, with High Point winning 18 games to Winthrop's 14. Winthrop is looking for their first victory in the series since 2019, when the Eagles won four of five meetings that year. The Eagles are also looking for their first series win in the Furniture Capital of the World since 2017, when they won all three contests there.

- This came in his lone start of the week in the first game of the four-game home series with Toledo on Friday (a 3-0 Eagles victory).

- His 20 strikeouts are believed to be the all-time single-game Big South record and are the most by any NCAA pitcher since 2017.
