Constanca Mendonca has been tabbed as the Big South Conference Freshman of the Week, the league announced Thursday afternoon.
Mendonca led the Eagles with a T11 finish at the Rivertowne Invitational this past week. She opened with a 1-under 71 and followed that up with a 1-over 73 on day one. She capped off the event with a 75 to complete a Top 15 finish at 3-over for the event. Her 54-hole total of 219 was the second-lowest of her collegiate career.
Mendonca is the first Eagle to garner the freshman of the week honors more than once.
