Rock Hill, S.C. - Winthrop was picked to finish seventh in the annual Big South Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field preseason poll, as voted by the league's head coaches and announced Wednesday afternoon by the conference office.

High Point received six unanimous first-place votes and 48 total points for the top spot in the voting. Charleston Southern is second with 43 points. Gardner-Webb totaled 31 points for third-place, while Radford and UNC Asheville placed fourth and fifth with 25 and 24 points, respectively. USC Upstate and Winthrop rounded out the poll by being picked to finish sixth and seventh with 14 and 11 points, respectively.

The 2024-25 women's indoor track & field season begins this weekend and concludes with the 2025 Big South Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship, Feb. 28-Mar. 1 at Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex in Columbia, S.C.
