Daren Hinds was named the Big South Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.
Hinds finished 16th out of 146 runners at the Elon Twilight Open with a 6k time of 18:07.2. He set a PR and shattered his previous time in the event by more than a minute (19:24.4 in 2021). Hinds helped the Eagles to a fifth-place team finish.
This is the eighth time that an Eagle has captured the conference's Runner of the Week honor as well as the second time that Hinds has won this honor. Hinds was named the Runner of the Week on Oct. 12 last season.
