Rock Hill, S.C. – Daren Hinds took home first place in the men's 8K at the Winthrop/Adidas Cross Country Invitational to highlight a very successful day for the Eagles as they hosted the 40
th edition of Winthrop's home race on Saturday morning.

Winthrop Highlights
- Hinds took first place overall with a time of 25:33.6
- Hinds is the first Eagle to capture first place in a race at home since Hall of Famer Adam Growley did so in 2001
- Noah Woodbury had the second-best time for the Eagles (26:43.0) as he placed 21st followed by Austin Spencer in 29th with a time of 27:40.6
- The men's team took third place overall
- On the women's side, Olivia Kemp paced the team with a 21st place finish with a time of 19:51.5
- Erin Melitski was next in 35th place with behind a time of 21.01.3 followed closely by Morgan Ruff in 39th
