CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Winthrop men's & women's track & field continued their 2022-23 outdoor track and field season by competing in the Charlotte Invitational.

On The Track (Top 8 Finishes)
- On the men's side, Kevin Brown finished seventh in the 100m dash with a time of 10.65 and also captured the 200m dash with a time of 21.49.
- In the 400 hurdles, Bautista Vivanco and Jurnii Lucas finished fifth and eighth with times of 53.06 and 54.90, respectively.
- In the 1500m run, Griffin McNeish placed sixth with a time of 4:07.72.
- The 3000m steeplechase saw Max Davis place eighth with a time of 10:18.68.
- Daren Hinds finished fifth in the 5000m run with a time of 14:47.25.
- On the women's side, Zoe Lexovsky placed eighth in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 13:30.37.
- The 3000m run saw Olivia Kemp place second with a time of 11:06.54.
- All of the Eagle relay teams (men's and women's 4x100 and 4x400-two teams in each category) finished in the top eight.
In The Field (Top 8 Finishes)
- On the men's side, Jaden Mathieu and Kenneth Williams, Jr. each finished third and sixth with marks of 1.98 and 1.93m, respectively in the high jump.
- Williams Jr. also took home seventh in the long jump with a leap of 6.88m.
- On the women's side, Libby Roush finished eighth in the discus throw with a toss of 45.28m.
- In the javelin throw, Erica Tobin finished eighth with a toss of 29.15m.
- Faith Wood was runner-up in the triple jump with a mark of 11.31m.
What's Next
After a week off due to final exams, the Eagles return to action by hosting the Big South Outdoor Track and Field Championships from May 10-12.
