Reese Basinger has been tabbed the D1Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Basinger was 3-0 on the week with a 0.67 ERA and had 42 strikeouts to one walk in 21 innings of work. She opened the week with a perfect game against South Carolina State in which she struck out 13. Basinger followed that up with a career-high 16 strikeouts in a 2-1 victory over Radford. She completed the week with another 2-1 over Radford as she struck out 13 and issued no walks.
This is the first time Basinger has been named the D1Softball Pitcher of the Week. On Monday Basinger was named the Big South Conference Pitcher of the Week for a second time.
