Eagles Compete At Virginia Tech Challenge

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Winthrop men's and women's track and field programs conclude their 2023 indoor regular-season campaign at the Virginia Tech Challenge from Feb. 17-18.

ABOUT THE EAGLES
The Eagles continue their indoor track and field season with their fourth and final regular-season meet of 2023 on the campus of Virginia Tech. Winthrop is coming off a one week break after competing at the Liberty Open on Feb. 4 in Lynchburg, Va. That meet was Winthrop's second of four straight meets in the state of Virginia.

On the men's side, the distance medley relay team is fourth in the conference with a mark of 10:35.55 at the VMI Winter Classic.
Kenneth Williams Jr. is sixth in the conference in the High Jump with a mark of 2.00m at the John Weaver Invitational. He is also sixth in the conference in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.91m at the Carolina Challenge.
Winthrop's 4x400 relay team is sixth in the conference, finishing with a mark of 3:22.77 at the VMI Winter Classic.
Timothy Speaks is eighth in the conference in the Shot Put with a mark of 14.11m at the VMI Winter Classic.
Toluwayan Agbeyomi is eighth in the conference in the 60m dash, finishing with a mark of 6.89 at the VMI Winter Classic.
Maurion Jamison is eighth in the conference in the Triple Jump with a leap of 12.94m.
On the women's side, To'Mara Carmichael and Ambar Nunez-Gomez rank first and third in the conference in the Weight Throw with respective marks of 17.70 and 17.05m at the VMI Winter Classic.
On the women's side, the distance medley relay team is fifth in the conference with a mark of 13:39.34 at the VMI Winter Classic.
Faith Wood is seventh in the conference in the Triple Jump with a mark of 10.76m at the Carolina Challenge.
