- Cougars snagged the lead early with a goal in the 3rd minute
- Samuel Bass dribbled in the box to the right of goal, cut back and played a pass in front to Iker Carew who quickly laid it off to Leonardo D'Ambrosio in front of goal near the edge of the xi as he struck it first time past Jack Kilstrom
- Eagles tried to respond in the 8th minute but Kade McKenzie's shot was straight at the keeper
- In the 17th minute the Eagles earned back-to-back corners but unable to connect for any scoring chances
- In the 35th minute Ricardo Ferreira had his shot blocked as Grayson Woodard fired a shot after the rebound that was off the mark
- Cougars doubled their lead in the 69th minute as Tom Wilson scored off a corner from Matt Lenert
