Game Recap
- Eagles had a good chance for an early lead as Kade McKenzie fired a free kick toward the lower right corner that was saved by Cole Hunter
- The Buccanceers struck in the 10th minute when Sebastian Reventlow connected with Gabriel Ramos for the goal
- Reventlow had the ball in the ETSU side of the field and sent a long ball over the top as Ramos ran on behind the Eagle defense, controlled the ball off his chest and then slipped a shot into the right corner as he approached the edge of the 18
- Great chance for the Eagles to equalize in the 20th minute as Joe McGee drew a penalty after getting fouled off the dribble
- McGee stepped in to take the penalty and fired a shot to the lower left corner that Cole turned away with a diving save
- In the 73rd minute the Eagles had another good chance to square things up as Ricardo Ferreira played a ball in front of goal that was deflected and eventually McGee had the ball at his feet from about eight yards out and fired a shot at goal that was blocked by the upper body of a defender
- A give away at midfield in the 85th minute proved costly as Henrik Guenther took the bad pass and immediately played a through ball behind the Eagle defense to Tank Pannholzer who finished the one-on-one for a 2-0 advantage
- Eagles continued to apply pressure offensively and earned a corner less than a minute later and capitalized as Nick Guido's service was finished by Bryan Marshall
- In the 88th minute on a counter Ricardo Ferreira received a pass, cut back toward the middle of the field and fired a shot to the lower right corner that was turned away by Hunter
- With 12 seconds to go in the match the Eagles earned a free kick wide to the right of the keeper as Guido hit a shot to the top left corner that was saved by Hunter to secure the win

- ETSU had a 14-11 edge in total shots and 7-6 in shots on goal
- Each team earned seven corners a piece
- Bryant Jimenez-Pearce returned from injury and made his season debut
Looking Ahead
Winthrop is off for a week until it returns to the field for another non-conference matchup as it travels to Mt. Pleasant, S.C. to take on the College of Charleston on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m.
