LEXINGTON, Va. – Winthrop men's & women's track & field continued their 2022-23 indoor track and field season with their third meet at the VMI Invitational.

Results
In The Field (Top 8 Finishes)
- Senior To'mara Carmichael won the weight throw with a PR of 17.70m and moved into #4 all-time in school history in that category. Carmichael also took sixth place in the shot put with a PR mark of 12.16m.
- Junior Ambar Nunez-Gomez took third in the weight throw with a mark of 17.05m.
- Freshman Johntavia Shaw won the shot put with a mark of 13.41m.
- Freshman Timothy Speaks placed seventh in the shot put with a PR mark of 14.11m.
On The Track (Top 8 Finishes)
- Sophomore Bautista Vivanco finished second in the 500m dash with a PR time of 1:06.19, moving into second in school history in that category.
- Junior Toluwayan Agbeyomi moved into second in school history in the 60m dash preliminaries with a PR time of 6.89, finishing 11th.
- Sophomore Daren Hinds finished second in the 3k with a PR time of 8:32.45.
- The men's distance medley relay team claimed fourth and the men's 4x4 relay team claimed sixth, finishing with times of 10:35.55 and 3:22.77, respectively. The 4x4 team moved into #3 in school history in that category.
What's Next
The Eagles will stay in Virginia, competing in Lynchburg at the Liberty Open hosted by Liberty University on Feb. 4.
