ROCK HILL, S.C.- Winthrop men's and women's cross country open up the 2022 season Thursday evening at the Radford Relays.

ABOUT THE EAGLES

The Eagles will go head-to-head with two other league schools (Longwood/Radford)
The women's team features eight runners as Katie Weber, Kaytlyn Sweatman, Morgan Ruff, Sidney Jenkins and Meirose Barnette make up the returners
The women's newcomers are freshmen Emma Charlton, Olivia Kemp and Zoe Lexovsky
The men's team has nine runners this season that includes five returners (Maxwell Davis, Darren Frasier, Daren Hinds, Austin Spencer and Nolan Weisdorfer)
The men's newcomers are Mitchell Hill, Griffin McNeish, Logan Ragnow and Noah Woodberry
In 2022 either Hinds or Spencer finished with the top time for the men's squad
Both Jenkins and Ruff posted their top 5K times at the 2021 Big South Championship
This is the 39^th season for the cross country teams and the 30^th year for head coach Ben Paxton
