Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop women's golf finished tied with the 13th-highest Team GPA in the country at the NCAA Division I level as the Women's Golf Coaches Association released its Top 25 list.
The Eagles posted a team GPA of 3.825, which tied for the 13
th highest among all NCAA Division I programs. Winthrop tied Lipscomb for 13
th overall and was the only program from the Big South Conference in the Top 25.
This award was on the heels of the Eagles having six members named WGCA All-American Scholars on July 6 (
see story).
