How it Happened
- After no one scored in the 1st, ETSU was able to score two runs on a single and sac fly in the top of the 2nd.
- In the bottom of the 2nd, Winthrop would strike back with a single of their own from Ethan Fewell scoring 2 runs. The Eagles would score again in the 2nd on a sacrifice bunt making the score 3-2 heading into the 3rd.
- In the top of the 4th, the Buccaneers would score again off of an error.
- In the bottom of the 4th, the Eagles responded with a single by CJ Conrad to score another run, taking the lead back in the process 4-3.
- ETSU would go on to score in both the 5th and 6th innings to take the lead back 5-4.
- In the bottom of the 6th, Robby Taul would leave his mark on the game by hitting a home run shot to left field tying the game back up at 5-5.
- In the top of the 7th, ETSU would score again off of a double to make it 6-5.
- The Eagles threatened to score in both the 8th and 9th innings but were unable to drive in the game-tying run.Â
