LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Winthrop baseball program travels to Virginia this weekend to face the 21st-ranked Liberty Flames in a three-game series.
Winthrop entered 2022 predicted to finish sixth in the Big South Conference, receiving one first place vote. The Eagles finished the 2021 season with a 19-27 (16-21 Big South) record.
Liberty was picked to win the league in the ASUN preseason poll after going 41-16 (19-2 ASUN) in 2021.
