COLUMBIA, S.C. - Winthrop baseball will head on the road for the first time this season to take on in-state foe South Carolina on Tuesday, Feb. 22. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Winthrop entered 2022 predicted to finish sixth in the Big South Conference, receiving one first place vote. The Eagles finished the 2021 season with a 19-27 (16-21 Big South) record.
South Carolina was picked fifth in the Southeastern Conference East Division. The Gamecocks finished 2021 with a 34-23 (16-14 SEC) record.
