CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Winthrop baseball program has been picked to finish sixth in the Big South in the 2022 season, the league announced Thursday afternoon.
Campbell is predicted to win the 2022 Big South title, garnering eight first-place votes while USC Upstate is projected to finish second (one first-place vote). Radford was third in the poll, followed by Presbyterian, Gardner-Webb, the Eagles (one first-place vote), Charleston Southern (one first-place vote), High Point, UNC Asheville, North Carolina A&T, and Longwood.
The program will be led by
Tom Riginos, who is in his 12th season as the head coach.
