ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop baseball will close out the regular season with a three-game series against the Presbyterian Blue Hose on Thursday and Friday, May 20-21. First pitch on Thursday is scheduled for 3 p.m., while Friday's double header will begin at noon.
Winthrop, along with Presbyterian and Radford are all still in the running for the fourth and final spot in the 2021 Big South Championship.
Friday will be Senior Day at the Winthrop Ballpark where we will recognize the 2020 graduated seniors:

The Eagles enter the finale series of the regular season on a three-game win streak after taking down Gardner-Webb Tuesday night, 7-6.
Scout McFalls led the team with three RBI, going 3-for-4 at the plate. McFalls has at least one hit in 14 of the last 15 contests.
Ty Hooks continues to lead the team with a .351 batting average.

Andrew Jenner (.301) are also batting over .300 on the season.
Spencer Yankle leads the squad in home runs and RBI with four and 31 respectively.

Colten Rendon threw Winthrop's first complete game since May 22, 2019. He went nine innings, giving up no earned runs with six strikeouts in the 3-2. The senior has a team-leading four wins and three saves on the season.
The Blue Hose are coming off a series sweep over the High Point Panthers.
Brody Fahr was named Big South Freshman of the Week for May 10-16. Fahr batted .600 in the three-game sweep over the Panthers. He was 3-for-5 in each contest with three RBI.
Kyle Decker, Zacch Rasberry and Fahr are the only Blue Hose batting over .300 this season with a .315, .303 and .302 mark respectively. Raspberry has a team-leading 40 hits and 26 RBI.
Duncan Howard, who will start the series finale on Friday, has a 4.53 ERA, low enough for 10
th best in the Big South. His .250 opposing batting average also cracks top 10 in the conference.
Winthrop holds a slight 18-15 all-time series lead since 2008. This will be the first time these teams meet this season.
