ROCK HILL, S.C. –  Karina Grant earned Big South annual honors, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.  

Grant, a junior from Bristow, V.A., was named to the Big South All-Academic Team. Grant earned a 3.98 grade point average while majoring in psychology with a minor in humanities. She earned her degree in May 2020, graduating early to attend Georgetown Law in the fall.
 
In her three seasons at Winthrop, Grant competed in multiple events and was a member of the distance medley relay who recorded the school record of 12:12:13 at the Florida Relays in Gainesville in March 2018.
