ROCK HILL, SC - Winthrop looks to extend its undefeated start to the 2020 season Friday when the Eagles host the Canisius Golden Griffins in the first game of a four game weekend series at the Winthrop Ballpark. Friday's first pitch is set for 4 p.m.
Game one of Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 1 p.m. and will be standard nine inning game. Game two will start 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one, and will be a seven inning contest. Sunday's series finale (nine innings) will begin at 12 p.m.

Winthrop is 3-0 on the early season, coming off a sweep of Maine this past weekend at the Winthrop Ballpark. The Eagles outscored the Black Bears 25-9 on the weekend and scored five or more runs in three different innings, doing so once on Saturday and twice in Sunday's 13-4 series closing victory.
Canisius enters the weekend 1-4 on the season, having lost their last three games. The Golden Griffins dropped three of four contests to UMass Lowell in Holly Springs, NC last weekend and then lost 15-8 at West Virginia on Tuesday afternoon. There has been a double digit scorer in four of Canisius' five contests.
