WINTHROP AT A GLANCE
The Eagles have played two and three games a week since the start of 2019 and finally got their bye week in the schedule this past week. Winthrop played last Saturday at UNC Asheville and struggled offensively. The contest against the Blue Hose is the first return trip against a conference opponent of the season. Winthrop downed Presbyterian 55-52 at the Winthrop Coliseum on January 26.
SCOUTING PRESBYTERIAN
Presbyterian has dropped six straight contests and has not won since January 12. Since losing to Winthrop, the Blue Hose have dropped three to UNC Asheville, Charleston Southern and Hampton. In the team's 17-point loss at Hampton on Tuesday, Kacie Hall dropped 27 points to lead the Blue Hose. She put up 24 points against the Eagles in the team's first meeting.
ALL-TIME AGAINST PRESBYTERIAN
Saturday will be the 31
st all-time meeting between the Eagles and Blue Hose. Winthrop's win in January, snapped a six-game winning streak for the Blue Hose in the series. The Eagles hold an overall 21-9 lead in the series.
WHAT'S UP NEXT
Winthrop will return home for its next three contests after Saturday. The Eagles will kick off the home stretch on Tuesday against the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs at 7 p.m.
