ROCK HILL, S.C. – Winthrop baseball (7-13, 2-0 Big South) racked up double-digit runs for the second-straight game to secure a 14-2 win and the series against Presbyterian (5-15, 0-2 Big South) Saturday afternoon at The Winthrop Ballpark.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- PC opened up the scoring, getting two across in the first, but Winthrop would hold them scoreless for the remainder of the game.
-In contrast to last night's nine-run seventh inning that broke open the game, Winthrop's offense put forth a steady attack today scoring no more than three runs in an inning, but putting runs across in all but two innings.

Dillon Morton belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth to put the Eagles up 8-2.
- The Eagles scored runs in every inning except their first and last at the plate (first and eighth.)

Nate Pawelczyk went 7.0 innings allowing just four hits and the Blue Hose' two runs in the first inning.
-This is the eighth time this season the Eagles have racked up double-digit hits, and just the second game (two-consecutive) with double-digit runs.
