SERIES HISTORY

As in-state neighbors, Furman and Winthrop have met 25 times, with the Eagles holding a commanding 21-4 series lead. The squads last met in 2015 with two lopsided contests, a 26-7 Winthrop win on the Paladins' home diamond, and a 12-0 victory for Furman at Winthrop.

TEAM SNAPSHOT
Winthrop is hitting .243 (128-for-527) as a team with a .314 on base percentage. The Eagles have recorded 17 errors as a squad, retaining a .970 fielding percentage overall.

PLAYER HIGHLIGHTS
-Senior LHP Riley Arnone pitched a season-long 5.0 innings against Kent State, allowing just two hits and no runs. He matched that season-low two hits in his 3.0 inning outing against Maryland Eastern Shore.

-Junior outfielder Matthew Mulkey leads the Eagles in RBI (11), total bases (28) and slugging percentage (.538). His three home runs on the season are also a team-high and match his 2017 season total.

-Freshman Dillon Morton leads the team with a .294 batting average with 10 hits in 34 at bats.

-Junior RHP Nate Pawelczyk is allowing an opposing batting average of just .176.

-Sophomore RHP Zach Peek leads the team in strikeouts with 37. With nine strikeouts at ETSU, he fell just one short of having three-straight games with double-digit strikeouts (10 vs. Maryland Eastern Shore, 12 vs. Kent State.)

LAST TIME OUT
The Eagles suffered a three-game sweep on the road at ETSU last weekend. Last home game, the Eagles took advantage of an explosive first inning to down The Citadel 8-1.
