LAST OUTING AGAINST CAMPBELL
The Eagles and Camels met in the second game of the conference season on January 6 at the Winthrop Coliseum and the Camels came away with a 72-48 victory.
Courtney Hagaman led the Eagles with 15 points with
Anika Riley adding 10.
Ronata Rogers led the team with eight rebounds and added seven points. Campbell shot 45 percent from the field while the Eagles connected on 33 percent of their attempts.
SCOUTING CAMPBELL
Campbell has lost four of its last five conference contests to drop its record to 6-9 in the Big South and 13-13 overall. The Camels are currently one game out of sixth place which would give them a first-round bye in the upcoming Big South Tournament.
Summer Price leads the Camels in scoring this season, averaging more than 15 points per contest. MaKala Rouse I second on the team with 7.8 points per game. Rouse also leads the team in rebounding, pulling down 5.9 boards per contest.
ALL-TIME AGAINST CAMPBELL
Through 37 all-time contests, the Camels lead the all-time series 27-10. Campbell has won the last four meetings between the two sides. Winthrop's last victory came at home on January 24, 2016, 50-49.
WHAT'S UP NEXT
Winthrop returns to the Winthrop Coliseum for its final home contest of the season Tuesday night. The Eagles will host Charleston Southern at 7 p.m. with the game broadcast on ESPN3. Tuesday will be Senior Night.
