SERIES HISTORY VERSUS DAVIDSON
Winthrop and Davidson meet for the 18th time and the first since 2011. The Wildcats lead the all-time series 10-5-2 and won 2-0 over the Eagles in Davidson in 2011. The two teams first met in 1978 in Rock Hill with the Eagles prevailing 2-0.

A GLANCE AT THE EAGLES
Winthrop has had a five-day break from action after playing two games last weekend. The Eagles look to extend their unbeaten streak to three games as they're coming off a tie at Mercer and a win over Wofford at home. Senior Max Hasenstab netted his third career hat trick in the win over Wofford while freshman Michael Smith came off the bench to assist on two of the three goals.

A GLANCE AT THE WILDCATS
Davidson is off to a good start at 3-0 with all three wins coming against Big South foes as they look to make it 4-0 against the Big South this year. The Wildcats opened the season with back-to-back home wins over Presbyterian College 2-1 and Radford 1-0 and are coming off a 3-2 win at UNC Asheville. The offense is scoring 2.0 goals per game as Matt Reinikka and Coleman Richards lead the team with two goals each.

HASENSTAB TABBED BIG SOUTH ATTACKING PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Following his hat trick in the win over Wofford on Sunday, Max Hasenstab was named the Big South Attacking Player of the Week. It was his third career hat trick and the third time in his career to capture the honor.

HASENSTAB ONE OF NATION'S TOP SCORERS
Redshirt senior Max Hasenstab has had a decorated career and enters the 2017 season among some of the NCAA Division I active scoring leaders. Hasenstab entered the season third among active players with 1.67 points per game and has moved to 2nd at 1.69 per game. He is now tied with Maryland's Gordon Wild for the most goals for an active player with 37. He began the year 3rd in goals per game at .71 and has increased that to .72 (3rd). He is a three-time All-Big South selection and the 2015 Big South Conference Tournament MVP. He has 80 career points, which ranks 10th among active players and tied for 8th all-time in Winthrop history.

WHAT'S AHEAD
The Eagles are set to take on USC Upstate on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.

BIG SOUTH PRESEASON POLL
Winthrop was picked fifth in the Big South Preseason Poll as it was tied with Campbell with 45 votes. The Highlanders received 7-of-9 first-place votes while High Point was picked second and Liberty third.
