Winthrop Baseball Travels To Radford For A Three-Game Series

ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop Baseball team will finish their season off at Radford for a three-game series starting on Thursday at 6:30 pm at Radford Baseball Stadium.

The Eagles are 29-21 and 15-6 BSC and are coming off a lost to Charlotte on Tuesday. Radford enters the game with a 22-28 and 10-11 BSC and took the series against High Point this past weekend.

Winthrop can claim the Big South Conference regular season title if they win all three games. They can also be regular season champs if they win two games from Radford and Liberty takes one game against Presbyterian College.  

The Eagles game two against Radford will be Friday at 7 pm on ESPN3 and they will finish the series Saturday beginning at 2 pm.

Senior Anthony Paulsen leads the team with a .353 batting average with 66 hits, 13 doubles, 25 RBI, and 32 runs scored. Paulsen enters the game with a 17 game-hitting streak and 31 reached on base streak.

The Highlanders Kyle Butler leads the team with a .333 batting average, with 63 hits, 42 runs scored, 11 doubles and 28 RBI.

Winthrop took two of three against Radford last season and are 57-43 all-time against them.
