Atkinson Announces Danielle Hepburn As New Volleyball Assistant Coach

ROCK HILL, SC – Winthrop head volleyball coach Bruce Atkinson has announced the hiring of Danielle Hepburn as an assistant coach, rounding out his coaching staff for the upcoming season.

Hepburn joins the Eagle program after spending the last year at the University of South Florida where she worked as the Director of Operations.

Prior to her year at USF, Hopkins worked as a Graduate Assistant at her alma mater Clemson University where she was an All-American volleyball standout.

Hepburn was the 2008 ACC Player of the Year and a Third Team AVCA All-American in 2008.  She finished at Clemson as the Tigers' all-time career leader in hitting percentage, blocks, block assists and blocks per set.

Hepburn graduated from Clemson in 2009 before playing professionally overseas for four years.  She earned her master's degree from Clemson in 2015.

The Eagles will kick off the 2016 season in late August.
