Angela Coello Perez

Women's Basketball Signs 6-1 Spaniard Angela Coello Perez to National Letter of Intent

ROCK HILL SC—Winthrop head women's basketball coach Kevin Cook has signed Angela Coello Perez, a 6-1 swing player from Vigo, Spain, to a national letter of intent.  With her addition, the 2016-17 roster now totals 14 players.
 
Coello Perez has played for Real Club Cebalt in Spain during the past four years.  She averaged 11.1 points and 13 rebounds this past season while shooting 51 percent from the floor and 73 percent from the free throw line.
 
"Angela is a hard worker who plays with passion. She rebounds out of her area and has a nice shooting touch," said Cook.  "We are extremely fortunate to get a quality player like Angela at this late date."
