ROCK HILL, SC—The Winthrop baseball squad will play host to the Liberty Flames in a three-game Big South Conference series this weekend at Winthrop Ballpark.  Game 1 is scheduled for 6 pm Friday, Game 2 for Saturday at 3 pm, and Game 3 will be held Sunday at 2 pm.

LAST GAME
The Eagles enter the game off their second shutout victory of the season, a 7-0 win over North Carolina A&T Wednesday night at Winthrop Ballpark.  Winthrop tallied 13 hits in this contest.  Starting pitcher Zach Cook earned his first win of the season pitching three innings only allowing one hit while compiling three strikeouts.  Roger Gonzalez went 2 for 4 connecting with his third home run of the season.

This will be the 84^th meeting between the two teams.  Liberty leads in the series 42-41.  The two teams last met in the 2014 Big South Tournament with Winthrop coming out on top, 6-5.
