ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop women's soccer team will face a rare situation this week when it will play back-to-back Big South Conference games at UNC Asheville on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. before returning home to face Charleston Southern in a rescheduled game on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. on Eagle Field. The CSU game was originally set to be played on Oct. 5, but was postponed due to Hurricane Matthew.

Winthrop is still searching for its first Big South Conference win with a record of 3-10 (0-5 BSC). UNC Asheville is 7-10 (2-5 BSC) and Charleston Southern is 6-7 (2-3 BSC).
The Eagles are looking to snap a six-game losing streak, which has only happened once under Coach Spencer Smith. Winthrop is 7-9-1 all-time against UNC Asheville and 6-5-4 all-time against CSU.
Winthrop, which is coming off a 2-1 loss to Gardner-Webb 2-1 on Senior Day this past Saturday has had trouble scoring of late as the Eagles have been outscored 9-3 over the last four games. On the year, Winthrop; has 15 goals and 12 assists. Winthrop's top two scorers--freshmen Keeley Leising, and Greta Conboy—have not scored a goal since a 5-2 loss at Radford on Sept. 24.
