ROCK HILL, SC—Hero Sports released its Top 5 men's soccer players in the Big South Conference on Thursday as junior
Max Hasenstab and senior
Magnus Thorsson were among the five selected.
Hasenstab, listed as the top player in the league, is coming off a career-best 12 goals and 27 points as he led the Eagles and the Big South in scoring (1.93 ppg). He's netted 21 goals in two seasons with the Eagles and totaled 50 points in 30 games. Hasenstab was voted the Big South Conference Preseason Attacking Player of the Year.
Thorsson, ranked 5
th, is a three-time All-Big South selection and a four-time national team of the week selection as well. He's logged over 5,100 minutes in his career as a defensive midfielder and has eight goals in three seasons with last year being his most productive with six goals and two assists. In 2014 Thorsson was also earned NSCAA/Continental Tire All-South Region honors.
The other three players listed were Bradley Farias of Campbell, Ebo Kudolo from High Point and Jo Vetie Rimstad from Radford.
