Just like Friday night's game, the Eagles jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Tyler Asbill led off with a single up the middle and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Brad Kaczka walked and moved to second on a single by Anthony Paulsen that brought Asbill home. The runners then had a double steal before John Menken loaded the bases reaching on a fielder's choice that Longwood was not able to make an out on. Kaczka crossed the plate on a walk by Babe Thomas and Paulsen scored as Roger Gonzalez grounded out to the shortstop.

Thomas made it 6-0 in the top of the third, driving home three runs on a home run to left field after Mark Lowrie reached on fielder's choice and Menken reached on a fielding error by the third baseman.
Kyri Washington answered back with his second home run of the series in the bottom half of the third to left field to score two runs.

C.J. Roth pulled the Lancers within three in the fifth inning, coming home from third on a single by Travis Biddix.

Kaczka put the Eagles on top by four in the seventh inning, crossing the plate on a sacrifice fly by Lowrie after singling, advancing to second on a throwing error by the pitcher on a failed pickoff attempt and moving to third on a wild pitch.

The Eagles tacked on two more insurance runs in the eighth inning. Thomas led off the inning singling through the left side and scored on a double to left center by Jace Whitley. Whitley advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Spires before a sacrifice fly by Kyle Edwards brought him home.
