Garnet Girls Take Second Place At CANAM Competition

ROCK HILL, SC--The Winthrop Garnet Girls Dance Team recently captured two second place awards during the 2015 Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM competition held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

The 15-member squad competed in two categories for jazz and variety. The team came in second place in Jazz against six other collegiate teams and was runner up against five other teams in the variety category.

Members of the team include: Jamie Bergin, Hannah Chessborough, Jenna Guthrie, Shannon Himes, Caroline Lorimer, Jessica McFarland, Madison Metts, Sara Nichols, Bridget O'Connor, Jasmine Robinson, Valeria Rodriguez-Angulo, Shartaysia Rogers, Ashley Smalls, Shayla Warren and Katie-Laken Weeks.
