Winthrop (27-14) is looking to extend a five-game winning streak that includes a sweep of conference foe Asheville.
Brad Kaczka had an impressive week last week and now leads the Eagles' offense with a .375 batting average. The senior had nine hits including a three-run double that secured a 13-4 for the Eagles as well as their first conference series win of the season. Â
John Menken had two home runs last week, one of them a grand slam. The Eagles pitching staff have allowed just 198 runs on 385 hits for an overall ERA of 3.89.
The Wildcats (18-15) are coming off a sweep of Atlantic-10 opponent Dayton. Juniors Lee Miller and Sam Foy captained the Wildcats offense, combining for a batting average of .340 and have 90 of Davidson's 314 hits. Miller also leads the team with 32 of the 168 team RBIs. The Davidson throwers have a combined ERA of 4.28 after holding Dayton to six runs over the weekend.
ETSU (14-24) is trying to snap a five-game losing streak, battling Tennessee on Tuesday before coming to Rock Hill. The Bucs have been outscored 87-44 in their last ten contests. Junior Trey Cook leads the team in overall batting average while sophomore Chris Cook has a team high 57 hits and 43 runs. ETSU pitchers have given up 280 runs on 432 hits.
