Isern Voted To Capital One Academic All-District 4 Team

Isern Earns Academic Honor

ROCK HILL, SC—Senior forward Alex Isern was voted to the Capital One Academic All-District 4 men's soccer team, announced Monday evening by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Isern is majoring in finance and holding a 3.78 grade-point average while leading the Eagles in scoring this year as well with seven goals and seven assists. He's a member of the Dean's List and a Big South Conference Presidential Honor Roll member.

The Barcelona, Spain native was a 2011 All-Big South Second Team selection and earlier this year was named the Big South Conference Attacking Player of the Week. Isern was also named the Winthrop MVP (Lee Award) in 2011 as well as being named to the 2011 Big South Conference All-Tournament Team. He's been a very consistent scorer for the Eagles having a at least a point in 10 of the 16 games he's played in.
