Women's Lacrosse 101

ROCK HILL, SC--Winthrop fans are invited to a Women's Lacrosse 101 session with head coach John Sung on Thursday, Oct. 25, beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the team's practice field at the Irwin Belk Track and Field.  Following the educational session on the rules of the game, Winthrop's team will conduct a scrimmage against Pfeiffer University.  Refreshments will also be offered to fans following Coach Sung's presentation.

Fans who attend the Lacrosse 101 session are asked to join Coach Sung on the playing field to listen to his presentation and watch up close the demonstration and explanation of the rules of women's lacrosse.

The Eagles will begin their first regular season of competition next spring.  The first official Winthrop lacrosse game will be on Feb. 8 when the Eagles travel to Washington, D.C. to face Howard University.  The first home match will come a week later on Feb. 15 when Winthrop hosts Marquette University at Eagle Field.
