Big Stuff Made A Key Tackle That Preserved Mascot Bowl Victory For The College Team
ROCK HILL, SC--Winthrop's beloved mascot, Big Stuff, was in attendance for the Sunday match up of the Carolina Panthers and the Minnesota Vikings and made his debut at the 13
th annual Mascot Bowl, a full contact football game that puts the professional mascots against the college mascots.
Big Stuff, along with many of his mascot friends, made appearances around the stadium and at the Kid's Combine, a part of the Panthers' participation in the NFL Play 60. The mascots then geared up for the halftime Mascot Bowl. Big Stuff had two carries for a total of 15 yards and 2 tackles, one of which was the saving tackle to prevent a tie game.
The college mascots defeated the professionals with a score of 6-0 for its first victory in 12 years.
