Rock Hill, S.C. – The 2026 Big South Conference Tournament seedings have been announced as Winthrop softball is the top seed after claiming the regular season title, announced by the league office Saturday evening.
The 2026 Big South Tournament will be played on the campus of USC Upstate at Cyrill Softball Stadium, May 6-9.
Click this link to purchase tickets ahead of time. Every game will be broadcast on ESPN+. The Big South's Tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Softball Regionals. The Conference Championship schedule is below and is subject to change due to weather.
The Big South Softball Championship begins Wednesday, May 6, with No. 4 Presbyterian vs. No. 5 Gardner-Webb at 5:00pm, continues with three games each on Thursday and Friday, May 7-8, and concludes Saturday, May 9 with two potential Championship contests starting at 12:00pm.
Winthrop is the top seed for the fifth time in the history of the program and first time since 2008.
The Eagles will open play on Thursday, May 7 at 2:30 p.m. against the winner of the game between #4 Presbyterian and #5 Gardner-Webb.
